Abstrakt
Lewetyracetam należy do grupy nowych leków przeciwpadaczkowych o złożonym mechanizmie działania. Wprowadzony na rynek farmaceutyczny w latach 80. XX w., zyskał pozycję leku skutecznego i bezpiecznego. Przemawiają za tym: przewidywalna farmakokinetyka leku, brak interakcji lekowych o znaczeniu klinicznym, niskie ryzyko lekooporności, jak również brak działania depresyjnego w zakresie ośrodkowego układu nerwowego.
