Abstract
Hypertension is one of the most common diseases of the cardiovascular system. Proper blood pressure values control can help in avoiding dangerous complications in the form of a heart attack, heart failure or stroke. Physicians have a number of antihypertensive molecules at their disposal, but the appropriate selection of therapy remains a challenge. One of the leading blood pressure lowering drugs is bisoprolol, which has an established position among physicians due to its effectiveness and favorable safety profile.
