Abstract
The first case illustrates the development of symptoms which form the classic picture of Alzheimer’s disease, and, despite this, a delayed diagnosis. It also illustrates the importance of multi-specialist diagnostics and multidimensional treatment. The second case shows that in diagnostic- therapeutic approach in Alzheimer’s disease caregiver is on key position. Due to his knowledge the diagnosis is improved and treatment is safe. And in the third case it was proven that treatment with cholinesterase inhibitors may delay the onset of behavioral disturbances and reduce the severity of some symptoms. Cognitive manifestations usually are the primary abnormalities in dementia. In most cases cognitive deterioration arise in association with behavioral disturbances, which are distressing for both patients and their caregivers. Some disturbances like agitation and aggression may be disruptive and life-treating for patients and surrounding people.
