Abstrakt
W pracy przedstawiono współczesne możliwości wykorzystania kwasu acetylosalicylowego. Powszechnie pamięta się głównie o jego zaletach w prewencji pierwotnej i wtórnej incydentów sercowo-naczyniowych i rekomenduje u pacjentów z chorobą niedokrwienną serca, po zawale serca i po udarze niedokrwiennym mózgu. Perspektywy wykorzystania kwasu acetylosalicylowego w medycynie są jednak znacznie szersze. Artykuł przybliża współczesne możliwości terapeutyczne.
