Abstract

Giving anaesthesia to a patient diagnosed with multiple sclerosis is a challenge for the anaesthetist due to a number of possible complications in the perioperative period. However anaesthesia become safer over the years, interprofessional collaboration has a significant impact on the safety of the procedures. A very important role in this area is played by a neurological consultation describing the patient’s health status and recommendations. This allows the patient to be optimally prepared for the planned procedure.
