Abstrakt
Spastyczność jest złożonym zaburzeniem ruchowym często zakłócającym funkcjonowanie u chorych na stwardnienie rozsiane, charakteryzującym się dużą zmiennością nasilenia i lokalizacji objawów. W artykule omówiono częstość występowania spastyczności w przebiegu stwardnienia rozsianego oraz przedstawiono dostępne metody leczenia dostosowanego indywidualnie do aktualnego stanu klinicznego pacjenta i obejmujące eliminację czynników wywołujących i nasilających objawy wzmożonego napięcia mięśniowego, farmakoterapię oraz postępowanie niefarmakologiczne.
