Meta-analysis is a type of research and original article. It presents knowledge resulted from analysing, statistical assessment and conclusions followed by different research and its sources. Statistically combining and analyzing data of this research is used by meta-analysis. Meta indicate something occurring later, more comprehensive, and finally is often used to name a new. Systematic review is inseparable part of meta-analysis. It means we select full published research data according to fixed criteria. There are benefits and weaknesses of meta-analysis. An advantage of meta-analysis is higher statistical power of an effect than the one of individual research, and statistical testing of overall factors parameters in related studies. A weakness of the method is that it is the post hoc analysis. Odds ratio (OR) is the main effect measures in meta-analysis.
