Abstract

Arterial hypertension and dyslipidaemia are major risk factors for cardiovascular mortality and morbidity. Patients taking antihypertensive drugs often also require concomitant use of lipidlowering drugs. Amlodipine/atorvastatin fixed-dose combination is new treatment option for patients with hypertension and coexistent dyslipidemia or coronary artery disease. The article presents 12 reasons why it is worth to use such a drug in clinical practice.
