Abstract

Β-blockers are a very often used group of drugs in patients with heart failure, hypertension, or cardiac arrhythmias. Among them, the most used is bisoprolol, which results from its antihypertensive efficacy, lowering the heart rate, but most importantly in reducing cardiovascular risk, including the risk of death from any cause among patients with heart failure with a reduced ejection fraction. In the article I have included the most important reasons, supported by the results of clinical trials, why it is worth using bisoprolol among our patients.
