Abstract

Elevated morning blood pressure often results of too short action of antihypertensive drugs applied once daily. Modern ARB (telmisartan) are characterized by a long period of elimination (T1/2 – 24 h), which translates into high efficacy in lowering blood pressure the day after ARB is taken.
