Dear Readers,

in a narrative review that opens this year's first issue of “OncoReview”, a group of young Iranian scientists elegantly presents honey's potential role in the complementary treatment of breast cancer. The anti-cancer effect of honey may result from its anti-inflammatory, antimutagenic and antioxidant properties. However, it should be noted that more research is needed to improve our understanding of its positive effects and cancer.

A case report published in the “OncoWatch” section by Łesiów et al. from Warmian-Masurian Cancer Center in Olsztyn describe a place that in difficult diagnostic cases (here, in the case of suspected kidney cancer in a patient with significant body deformation), may have advanced laparoscopic surgery.

I wish you an interesting reading,
