Abstract

A method to increase the chances of delivery in patients with threatened miscarriage is to use progesterone. This method has been used for many years, but results of the studies do not allow to state clearly whether it is effective or not. The latest results suggest that the effectiveness of progesterone in this group of patients depends on many factors, the most important of which seems to be the number of previous miscarriages. The paper presents examples of assessing the validity of the use of progesterone.
