Effective treatment of pain and fever in children – case reports Case report
Main Article Content
Abstract
Pain and fever are the most common reasons for parents and children to visit a pediatrician. Pain is an unpleasant, subjective sensory and emotional experience. We treat pain and fever in all children in whom we have correctly identified and interpreted them, and our actions are primarily intended to reduce the patient’s discomfort and anxiety. The basic drugs for treating pain and relieving fever are paracetamol and ibuprofen as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, and their effectiveness has been confirmed in many clinical studies. If monotherapy at optimal doses does not effectively reduce pain and fever, it is worth using combined treatment (ibuprofen + paracetamol in one drug).
