Abstract
The JUPITER trial, recently announced during the American Heart Association Meeting, may essentially change the current opinions on statins’ indications in the broad population of people in the primary prevention. It seems, these drugs should also be given in the apparently healthy men and women, without established cardiovascular disorders, but with slightly elevated C-reactive protein levels. The short communication on this trial with the personal opinion of the author is given below.
