Interventional cardiology – what’s new after meetings in Barcelona and San Francisco? Meeting Proceedings

Abstract

The two largest global medical and scientific symposiums dedicated to interventional cardiovascular medicine are PCR in Barcelona and TCT in San Francisco. In 2009 a lot of new clinical data and trials were presented during these meetings. In this article authors focused on the trials the most relevant to the clinical practice. The results of FAME, PLATO, CURRENT STEMI PCI, COGENT trials, subanalysis of TRITON-TIMI 38 trial and SYNTAX score were discussed.
