Abstract
Atrial fibrillation is a disease with very negative impact on not only the health status of the population, but also carrying a large socio-economic stigma. Not only because of the high incidence of patients, but also the enormous health effects associated with the consequences of its complications such as stroke. Effective anticoagulation with well-studied, modern drugs such as dabigatran is crucial for improving the prognosis of patients with atrial fibrillation.
