Abstract

Upper respiratory tract infection is a common problem both in children and in adults. Differential diagnosis might be difficult. For almost 70 years viral infections are treated with many drugs, including oral antihistamines. Albeit, we know that we use them off-label. Several of them including the newest in market – bilastine – revealed some anti-inflammatory properties. Can we safely use it in case of diagnosis is difficult to be established?
