Abstract
Metoprolol succinate is an extended-release cardioselective β-adrenolytic. The drug is indicated in hypertension, coronary heart disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, primary and secondary prevention of cardiac death and infarction, migraine. This is a safe drug. It can be used to treat hypertension in children and adolescents over 6 years of age. It can be used in patients with bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
