Abstract

In the course of various types of dementia often occurs neuropsychiatric disturbances that require psychiatric intervention. The range of these disturbances is very wide. Some disturbances like agitation, aggression or disturbances of consciousness may be disruptive and life-treating for patients and surrounding people. The paper describes 3 cases of the use of tiapride showing how the above-mentioned neuropsychiatric symptoms can be effectively and safely alleviated or eliminated.
