Abstrakt
Metoprolol to kardioselektywny β-bloker pozbawiony wewnętrznej aktywności sympatykomimetycznej. Jest jednym z β-blokerów mających najwięcej wskazań terapeutycznych. W wybranych wskazaniach zalecany jest u dzieci po 6. r.ż. oraz u kobiet w ciąży. Preparat o przedłużonym uwalnianiu zapewnia stałe stężenie terapeutyczne przez 24 h. Metoprolol może być bezpiecznie stosowany u pacjentów z niewydolnością nerek.
