Abstrakt
Niesteroidowe leki przeciwzapalne są trudne do zastąpienia w leczeniu bólu zapalnego. Zarówno mechanizmy uczestniczące w powstawaniu bólu zapalnego, jak i indywidualne cechy poszczególnych niesteroidowych leków przeciwzapalnych pozwalają obecnie na wręcz spersonalizowany wybór leku w taki sposób, aby eskalować jego skuteczność przy minimalizacji ryzyka wystąpienia działań niepożądanych. Diklofenak jest niesteroidowym lekiem przeciwzapalnym z jednym z najdłuższych staży klinicznych. Od początku lat 70. ubiegłego wieku był on ważnym elementem codziennej praktyki reumatologicznej, stosowanym w chorobach o podłożu zarówno zwyrodnieniowym, jak i zapalno-autoimmunologicznym.
