Abstract

This article presents a case study analysis of behavioral variant of frontotemporal dementia (bvFTD). Study has been divided into chapters: medical overview, neuropsychological assessment, analysis of neuroimaging and cerebrospinal fluid protein biomarkers and neurogenetic examination. Case of 50-year-old female has been presented. Patient experienced progress of personality deterioration and early loss of empathy, then behavioral disturbances and criticism deficit. Patient was diagnosed used clinical picture analysis, neuropsychological examination and neuroimaging as a bvFTD case. The diagnostic process has been extended to cerebrospinal proteins biomarkers and neurogenetics.
