Abstrakt

Lakozamid to lek przeciwpadaczkowy nowej generacji o unikalnym mechanizmie działania, nasilającym powolną inaktywację kanałów sodowych. Jest stosowany w monoterapii i terapii dodanej napadów ogniskowych u dorosłych i dzieci od 2. r.ż. Wysoka skuteczność, dobra tolerancja oraz korzystne właściwości farmakokinetyczne lakozamidu pozwalają na zastosowanie go w wielu populacjach pacjentów, m.in. u pacjentów starszych, u osób z wielochorobowością somatyczną i psychiatryczną czy guzami mózgu.
