Abstrakt
Celem niniejszego opracowania jest przypomnienie danych dotyczących korzystnego efektu stosowania wysokich dawek (10 mg na dobę) ramiprilu. Poniżej przybliżamy wyniki badań, w tym dużych badań klinicznych wspierających tę tezę, dowodzących skuteczności i bezpieczeństwa wzmiankowanego leczenia. Szczególnie istotne są dane z badania HOPE i jego subanaliz, potwierdzające plejotropowe właściwości ochronne takiej terapii, wykraczające poza efekt hipotensyjny, a obejmujące zmniejszenie ryzyka ostrych stanów kardiologicznych, rozwoju i powikłań cukrzycy oraz wydłużenie czasu przeżycia.
