Abstrakt
Arypiprazol to atypowy neuroleptyk stosowany w schizofrenii i chorobie afektywnej dwubiegunowej typu I. Ma niskie ryzyko wywoływania objawów pozapiramidowych i wydłużania odstępu QT. Dzięki korzystnemu profilowi bezpieczeństwa (w tym metabolicznemu) może być stosowany u chorych obciążonych somatycznie, po 65. r.ż. i otyłych. Lek w niskich dawkach ma działanie aktywizujące i przeciwdepresyjne, natomiast w dawkach przekraczających 20 mg/24 h – przeciwpsychotyczne i przeciwmaniakalne.
