Hypoallergic dog – fact or fiction?

Abstract

Prevalence of dogs and the contact with a dog in your immediate environment is often the cause of respiratory allergy. In order to minimize this risk, breeders presented dog breeds that would not cause allergic reactions. In this way appeared the concept of “hypoallergenic dog”. This article discusses the dog allergens, diagnostic options and evidence that there is no data for the classification of certain dog breeds as being “hypoallergenic”.
