Pollen of hornbeam in the air of selected cities of Poland in 2014

Abstract
The course of hornbeam pollen season in Bialystok, Bydgoszcz, Drawsko Pomorskie, Cracau, Lublin, Olsztyn, Piotrkow Trybunalski, Sosnowiec, Szczecin, Warsaw, Wroclaw and in Zielona Gora in the year 2014 was presented. Measurements were performed by the volumetric method. Pollen season was defined as the period in which 95% of the annual total catch occurred. The pollen season of hornbeam started first in Zielona Gora on the 20th of March. The highest airborne concentration of 38 hornbeam pollen grains/m3 was noted in Szczecin on the 7th of April and in Zielona Góra (32 pollen grains/m3) on the 1st of April.
