Characteristics of pollen seasons of hazel and alder in Sosnowiec in 2014

Abstract
The paper presents the course of hazel and alder in Sosnowiec (Poland) in year 2014. Measurements were performed by the volumetric method Burkard pollen sampler. Pollen season was define as the period in which 98%of the annual total catch occurred. Pollen season hazel and alder in 2014 started 5 weeks earlier in comparison to 2013. The maximum daily concentration of hazel and alder was lower compared to the previous year.
