Characteristics of pollen seasons of hazel and alder in Lublin, 2014

Abstract
The paper presents the analysis of the pollen seasons of hazel (Corylus) and alder (Alnus) noted in Lublin in 2014. Pollen monitoring was carried out using volumetric method. The onset of the pollen season of hazel and alder and the peak concentration days appeared at the same time. In 2014 annual sum of alder pollen grains was repeatedly higher than the annual sum of hazel pollen grains (more than 15 times). The annual sum of hazel pollen grains was considerably lower than the average sum of 2001-2013 while the annual sum of alder pollen grains was twice as high as average sum for this taxon for the same years.
