Characteristics of pollen seasons of selected allergenic plants in Lublin in 2012
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study contains the research results of pollen seasons of tree and herbaceous plants, the pollen of which is allergenic and often causes allergies in sensitive persons: Alnus, Corylus, Fraxinus, Betula, Quercus, Poaceae, Artemisia. The studies were carried out in Lublin in 2012 using the volumetric method. The Lanzoni VPPS 2000 pollen trap was set on the roof of building in downtown. The highest daily pollen concentrations were noted for birch (5849 pollen grains/m3) and for alder (1246 pollen grains/m3), appeared respectively in 21.04 and 18.03. Maximum grass pollen concentration amounted to 430 pollen grains/m3 (1.07), and for mugwort 268 pollen grains/m3 (3.08).
