Abstract
Calcineurin inhibitors are well known anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic medications. Both pimecrolimus and tacrolimus in topical formulations are approved for atopic dermatitis, but they are also successfully used in other inflammatory skin disorders. They are both effective and generally well tolerated.
