Dynamics of ragweed pollen season in Lublin and risk of pollen allergy
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper presents the course of ragweed pollen seasons in Lublin in 2009–2012 years. Volumetric method with the use of Lanzoni Spore Trap was implemented. Pollen season was defined with the 98% method. Impact of the meteorological factors on pollen occurrence in the air was analyzed. High daily average pollen counts were recorded from the half of August to half of September. Days number with threshold exceeding the value of 20 z/m3 ranged from 1 to 5. Clear downward trend was stated for maximum concentrations and annual total sums of ragweed pollen grains. The air temperature affected the most on pollen concentration. Wind of NE and SW directions blew the most often during ragweed pollen season.
