The analysis of alder pollen count in selected Polish cities in 2008

Abstract
This paper presents the course of alder pollen season in selected cites of Poland in 2007. The measurements were performed in Sosnowiec, Białystok, Bydgoszcz, Kraków, Lublin, Warszawa, Wrocław and Szczecin, with the use of volumetric method with Burkard and Lanzoni Spore Trap. The duration of the pollen seasons was defined as the period in which 98 % of the total annual catch occurred. The pollen seasons of alder started first in Wrocław and Szczecin (25th January), the latest in Lublin (6th February). The highest airborne concentration was noted in Bydgoszcz on the 24th of February (1745 z/m3).
