Grass pollen in the air of Bialystok in 2010
Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine the pollen season of grass (Poaceae) in Białystok in 2010. The measurements were performed by volumetric method with the use of VPPS Lanzoni. The pollen season was determined as the period in which 98% of the annual total catch occurred. The pollen season began on the 22nd of May and the highest concentration of grass pollen was observed on the 30th of June (144 pollen grain/1 m3). The forty-two days with the concentration over 20 p/m3, 25 days with the concentration over 50 p/m3 and only 2 days with the concentration over 120 p/m3 were noted.
