Anaphylaxis after intravenous methylprednisolone administration in astmatic 10 years old boy

Abstract

Corticosteroids are important component of the treatment of acute athma attack, but it must be remmembered that they can cause anaphylactic reactions. We report the case of 10 years old asthmatic boy who developed generalized hives and profound dyspnoe after methylprednisolon administration during asthma flare therapy.
