Abstract

Over the years chronic fatigue syndrome had many names. There are still discussions about the present name. Etiology of the illness remains unclear which results in lack of causal treatment. Diagnosis requires severe fatigue lasting longer than 6 months, as well as presence of at least 4 of the symptoms: sleep disorder, sore throat, new headache, postexertional malaise, polyarthralgia, impaired memory or concentration, tender lymph nodes, muscle pain.
