Abstract

The course of hazel, alder and birch pollen season in Olsztyn in year 2014 is presented. Measurements were performed with volumetric method (Lanzoni pollen sampler). Pollen season is defined as the period when 98% of the annual total catch occurred. The peak of hazel pollen season was recorded in the 3rd decade of February. The peak of alder pollen season in 2014 in Olsztyn was recorded in the 3rd decade of February and 1st half of March. The presence of birch pollen was noted in Olsztyn in the 1st decade of April. The highest daily birch pollen count of 1786 birch grains per m3 of air was found on April 8. Seasonal Pollen Index of birch reached 15 804.
