Abstrakt

Przeciwdziałanie zachowaniom samobójczym stanowi jedno z największych wyzwań współczesnej psychiatrii. Podczas ostatnich dziesięcioleci w licznych badaniach klinicznych wyodrębniono szereg specyficznych czynników predysponujących pacjentów hospitalizowanych do podejmowania zachowań samobójczych. Pomimo dostępnych danych skuteczna ocena ryzyka nadal pozostaje trudnym zadaniem, wzbudzającym wiele frustracji wśród klinicystów. Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia najważniejsze koncepcje teoretyczne, przegląd badań i analiz klinicznych, określających specyfikę pacjentów zagrożonych samobójstwem oraz wnioski pomocne w praktyce diagnostycznej i terapeutycznej w warunkach szpitalnych.
