Abstrakt
Przez ponad 100 lat koncepcje zaburzeń pamięci towarzyszyły rozwojowi badań nad schizofrenią. Postępy w badaniach anatomicznych i fizjologicznych, a w szczególności badania neuroobrazowe, przyniosły nowe informacje na temat podłoża i możliwej roli tych zaburzeń.Koncepcje te koncentrowały się w szczególności na modelu pamięci operacyjnej oraz na roli funkcjonowania przedczołowego u pacjentów. Zakłada się, że defekt pamięci operacyjnej – zdolność kierowania zachowaniem multilateralnie, przy stałym filtrowaniu zewnętrznych i wewnętrznych bodźców oraz wypracowywaniu strategii działania – może być podstawowym upośledzeniem prowadzącym do schizofrenicznego zaburzenia myślenia.
