Angio-OCT in ophthalmological diagnostics and therapy – part I
Main Article Content
Abstract
Optical coherence tomography angiography (angioOCT) is a new, noninvasive method capable of simultaneously imaging the retinal structure and microvasculature. AngioOCT is an important tool for diagnostics and for monitoring patients with agerelated macular degeneration and different vascular disorders of the retina. It makes it possible to identify early vascular changes and nonperfusion areas. AngioOCT reveals disturbances in nerve head perfusion and can be a useful technique for diagnosing patients with glaucoma.
