Abstract

Pigment epithelial detachment is a common pathology occurring in various retinal diseases. This diagnosis is established very often, but not always accurately and without a clear distinction between its types. Different pathogenesis and type of lesions are associated with characteristic features in fluorescein angiography, autofluorescence, spectral optical coherence tomography and angiography based on optical coherence tomography. In this article we will try to draw attention to the essential elements used in daily practice multimodal diagnosis of this pathology that help correctly determine its type, natural course and therapeutic management.
