British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) 2015 conference news – continuation
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this article, I discuss and comment on next 4 works presented during the last conference of the British Contact Lens Association. These works confirm the belief that daily disposable multifocal contact lenses are more and more popular among patients and their eye care professionals. As for the advantages of such lenses, not only do they not require cleaning and disinfection but they are also easy to fit and provide presbyopic people with clear and crisp vision from every distance. Studies also show that wearers of planned replacement contact lenses, therefore the ones which require use of care products, should consider using new peroxide system with EOBO-21 molecules. This wetting agent added to peroxide solution does not change its antimicrobial effect but improves surface wettability and comfort of SiHy lens wear.
