Abstract
When fitting an athlete with contact lenses, many factors have to be taken into consideration. Athletes have a very different set of requirements regarding the performance they need from their contact lenses. For example, one has to look at the specific playing environment of the athlete, the visual characteristics of the sport in question, the athlete’s specific playing position, and the individual physiological characteristics of the eye (e.g. tear quality, lid position, prescription, etc.).
