Abstrakt

Niedomykalność aortalna to wada serca, która polega na wstecznym przepływie krwi z aorty do lewej komory. Spowodowana jest uszkodzeniem lub wrodzonym defektem płatków lub poszerzeniem pierścienia i aorty wstępującej. Artykuł przedstawia aktualne stanowiska towarzystw amerykańskich: ACC/ AHA z 2006 r. i Europejskiego Towarzystwa Kardiologicznego z 2007 r., dotyczące diagnostyki i strategii leczenia niedomykalności aortalnej.
