Abstract

In the last days of August, new guidelines on cardiovascular prevention were published during the annual ESC meeting. This document presents some very interesting new solutions and tools. The SCORE scale was modified and modernized, as well as the designated age ranges for individual cardiovascular risk groups, attention was drawn to the need for parallel interventions at the level of population and health care systems. In this article, the authors systematically discuss the issues that seem to be the most important from the point of view of everyday medical practice.
