Isolated left ventricular noncompaction Review article
Main Article Content
Abstract
Isolated left ventricular noncompaction (ILVNC) is not widely known congenitial disorder which belongs to unclassified cardiomyopathies according to the WHO. The muscle of the left ventricle consists of two layers: a compact epicardial layer and an endocardial layer characeterised by a prominent trabecular meshwork and deep intertrabecular spaces in echocardiography. The disorder is mainly manifested by clinical symptoms of congestive heart failure, arrythmias, systemic and pulmonary embolism. In this article it is described a case of 48-years old man, whose complains such as dyspnoe and ventricular tachyarrythmia was caused by isolated left ventricular noncompaction (ILVNC).
