Methods of surgical therapy of aortic stenosis Review article

Abstract
After arterial hypertension and coronary artery disease, aortic stenosis is third most common cardiac disorder. Prevalence of congenital aortic stenosis varies between 3 to 6% of cardiac valvular defects. Acquired aortic stenosis is present in 5% of population older than 75 years. Natural causes, course of disease and methods of surgical therapy of aortic stenosis are then described.
