Abstract

In this study authors compared hospitals enrolled in Get With The Guidelines (GWTG) and receiving achievement awards with other hospitals using data of risk-adjusted 30-day survival for heart failure and acute myocardial infarction. Hospitals awarded in GWTG had modestly lower mortality, explained in part by better process of care.
