Aortic stenosis – does the latest recommendations of the 2012 year respond to all the questions? Review article

Abstract
Achievements in the diagnosis of valvular heart diseases and the development of new therapeutic techniques make some of the proposed recommendations not so long ago has become outdated and it’s time to create a new recommendation proceedings. So far, recommendations for the treatment of aortic stenosis based on published a few years ago recommendations of American (ACC/AHA 2006, 2009) and European (ESC 2007) Societies of Cardiology . In August 2012, the experts of ESC published a new standards of valvular heart defects. This article presents the most important changes in case of aortic stenosis.
