Abstract

Prevention is still underestimated part of the medicine. W 2012 ESC published guidelines for prevention of cardiovascular disease, which refers in detail to proceeding with patients. Main points of cardiovascular prevention are well balanced diet, physical activity, avoiding smoking and avoiding stress. This paper describes only the most important elements of prevention useful for the General Practitioner.
